Snow-Ed was set up by Edward Brown, a Ski Instructor based in the Portes-du-Soleil region of France.
As an Instructor who has received the highest level of ski instructing qualification Ed was able to gain the French equivalence and teach skiing in his favourite resort. Ed has been skiing in Les Gets since he was 2 years old. As a consequence he has explored every bit of the region, not only in the winter, but the summer months as well.
Ed has always been a talented sports man, playing rugby and throwing javelin for his county, and being involved in many other sports. After finishing school Ed decided that skiing was where his passion lay. He worked hard to pass all his skiing exams while working as a ski instructor at indoor slopes in the UK and in Bulgaria, Switzerland and Italy. Ed’s experience has led to him training ski instructors, initially indoors at dry ski slopes but now internationally.
Ed spent years going to and from New Zealand working as a race coach and instructor trainer supporting and preparing students for exams, as well as teaching on Mt Ruapehu. Always returning to Les Gets to enjoy what the northern hemisphere has to offer. Ed is currently one of the full time trainers at BASI meaning he travels around uk based centred training and examining instructors right through the summer.
